HANDSHAKES AND BACKPATS AND " OCH' DAE' YA'  KEN` "

PEOPLE REMEMBERING HOW THINGS WERE BACK THEN

ROSE COLOURED MEMORIES OF CHILDHOOD AND TOYS

OLD MEN RECALLING THE DAYS THEY WERE BOYS

TALKING OF SCHOOL MATES AND TEACHER'S THEY HATED

SAYING " NOT MY FAULT " YOU KNOW THIS WAS FATED

STILL THEY SIT ON THERE IN THE GLOOM

GRASS COLOURED VERGES FOR THEIR LIVING ROOM

GATHERED TOGETHER HUGGLED UP CLOSE

STONES USED FOR PILLOWS JACK FROST AT THEIR TOES

"FATHER LOOK ON THEM, LOOK ON THEM  WITH LOVE
